Though the mantra of hands face space' is sure to continue to be a component of our program, it's clear that confidence is building and connections between face-to-face occur. Rotary's face has changed. The months that will lead up to the summer of 2021, there's still a lot of uncertainty regarding what we can do to provide services to the community that involves the importance of human connection that was enjoyed by Rotary previous members. Though the old adage of 'hands faces will certainly continue to be a component of our routine it is apparent that the confidence building is evident and face-to-face reconnections occur. The reality is that Rotary has changed. Rotary has changed. The pandemic has prompted us to improve our technology methods. Our business remains online, but we have also introduced a volunteer and social activities. To create an exciting new future, we've seized these new opportunities and blended them with our most successful pre-pandemic behaviors. In a recent Rotary survey it was heartening to find that 75% of clubs have started organizing their activities routine events" The months of summer have seen many participants out and about focusing on projects such as river and beach cleans litter picking, and of course providing ongoing services to society from Rotary volunteers who volunteer their time for COVID vaccination and test centres.
