Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN as an SportsCenter anchor for news. In 2016, she joined ESPN. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in securing her first post as a producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she assisted the production of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was then hired as a reporter by the CBS station as an sports reporter. After 2009, the reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues across the border of Mexico and Texas. Border, she served as an anchor for the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then an anchor for the news channel on English at 9 pm and after which she became a news anchor until 10pm, before returning on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sport anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed more duties. She reported on the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. She became a sports host on the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. She served in the same role on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. There is an older sibling. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job with her older sister. Antonietta was a senior in high school who had a vision of how she thought her future would look like, traveled to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school suited her. Then, she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the college. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Her professor urged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
